Where it All Began

In 1996, CIS Group's founding principals met for pizza at Geno's East on the south side of Chicago with an idea to build a better field underwriting inspection company. They had no idea how important this meeting would become.

They created a company with three core values in mind - Loyalty to customers, Care for employees, and Integrity in all operations. From there, the company that launched in 1997 as Risk Management Services with 4 employees and 25 contractors has become the largest supplier of field underwriting and inspection supply chain services in the United States. Each day our more than 2,000 employees and associates serve the inspection, technology, and third-party data needs of more than 125 clients in the insurance and mortgage banking sectors.

1996 - Principals enter the Field Underwriting Services sector in Chicago, IL
1997 - First major regional contract with leading National Insurance Carrier 
1999 - Expansion into the Upper Midwest and Ohio Valley
2000 - Received 1st Best-In-Class service provider award
2002 - Surpassed the 250,000 inspection threshold
2003 - Moved corporate headquarters to Fort Worth, TX and changed name to CIS Group
2005 - Acquired GPL Solutions based in Atlanta, GA
2006 - Launched Navigator©, our third-generation inspection processing platform

Acquired two major national contracts giving CIS Group door-to-door coverage across the United States
2007 - Acquired Advanced Field Services based in Columbia, SC
2008 - Surpassed the 1,000,000 annual field service transaction threshold
2009 - Expanded into the Mortgage Servicing Sector
2010 - Acquired Cornerstone Appraisal Services based in Valparaiso, IN, and acquired first national mortgage servicing contract
2011 - Expanded and moved corporate headquarters to Southlake, TX

Launched Navigate® by Navigator, our second-generation data mining and aggregating platform to serve the analytic needs of customers

Surpassed the 2,000,000 annual field service transaction threshold
2012 - CIS Group's Shoot to Salute hosted 140 golfers and raised over $61,000 for the National Military Family Association (NMFA), Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

CIS Group employees donated 1000s of service hours in support of local causes across the country
