Where It All Began

In 1996, the founders of CIS Group met for pizza at Gino's East on the south side of Chicago with an idea to build a better field underwriting inspection company. They had no idea how important this meeting would become.

The result of that fated lunch was a company created with three core values in mind - loyalty to customers, care for employees and integrity in all operations. From there, the company that launched in 1997 as Risk Management Services with four employees and 25 inspectors has become the largest supplier of field underwriting and inspection supply chain services in the United States. Each day employees and associates serve the inspection, claim handling and technology needs of more than 125 clients in the underwriting, and claims sectors.
